Hi, I’m matthew mauro PMhnp-bc

I started my psychiatric career over 12 years ago working with Sheppard Pratt. I spent time working the many units supporting Child and Adolescent psychiatry, General Psychiatric, Psychotic Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders. After spending several years working inpatient psychiatry I decided that I needed a change and took a job in emergency psychiatric services with Franklin Square Hospital. It was here that I was inspired to further expand my psychiatric experince and I began working with Children Adolescents and Adults with Autism and the beautiful individuals of all developmental levels. After spending multiple years working with these individuals I felt the care they recieved from psychiatric providers was poor and exclusionary. It was than that I decided to further my education and studied to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practioner. After passing my boards I took a position as Medical Director at 42 Restore LLC. Where I was able to further my desire to work with individuals of all ages and all developmental levels and individuals with Substance Use disorders as their therapist and psychiatric provider. Believing that more could be done I moved into private psychiatric practice where I specialize in child adolescent psychiatry, general adult psychiatry, ADHD and Substance Use Disorders. Please join me on your journey to Mental Wellness.
